The issue of the poor condition of the electricity system was raised in front of Bareilly’s in-charge minister JPS Rathore. In the review meeting, the public representatives said that the engineers are making do with statistics. The Nawabganj MLA raised the issue of the road getting damaged just three months after repair.

State Cooperative Minister and District In-charge JPS Rathore reviewed the law and order and development works in the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday. Public representatives raised issues of their respective areas and sought answers from the officials. Most questions were raised on the deteriorating power system. Faridpur MLA Professor Shyam Bihari Lal said that the condition of the University feeder is not good. There were some days when electricity was available only for 17-18 hours. The engineers are managing with figures. On this, the Minister in-charge instructed the engineers to improve their work.

City MLA and State Forest Minister Dr. Arun Kumar said that the situation in the fort area is not good. Cantt MLA Sanjeev Agarwal expressed the problems of electricity consumers of Madhinath and Subhash Nagar. Bithri MLA Dr. Raghavendra Sharma raised the issue of laying power lines on wooden poles and overloading of transformers.
The superintending engineer said that work is going on in the revamp scheme. Now it will be done at a faster pace. To improve the electricity system in Subhash Nagar, Madhinath, Kila area, four and a half km of underground high tension line is being laid. After this, tripping will end. On this, the public representatives asked the time limit. The superintending engineer said- the work will be completed in two months. MLA DC Verma said that why the estimate of Mirganj-Sirouli road has not been given till now? XEN Rajiv Agarwal said that the estimate is being prepared.
